BVK daily energy tool
Estimate the day.
Calibrate the trend.
Combine a Mifflin St Jeor resting estimate with a physical activity level. The result is a starting point that should be checked against real body weight and intake trends.
What this number means
Total daily energy expenditure is estimated by multiplying resting energy by a physical activity level. The activity factor already represents the full day, so digestion is not added a second time. Real needs change with training load, movement, recovery and body composition.
Method sources: Mifflin and colleagues, resting energy, and the FAO, WHO and UNU adult energy framework for PAL multiplied by BMR.
